I am following up on the exchange of emails between the services of the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) and Mr of the IT Department of the , as part of the investigation of the complaint sent to us by the Swedish Data Protection Authority, pursuant to the provisions of Article 56.1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter the "GDPR").

In an e-mail sent on 25th September 2023 to , the complainant stated that he had requested the deletion of his personal data but had not received a reply.
I have taken note that, after verification, all the elements of Mr s application file have been deleted from your file. I have also noted that his request to have his data deleted may not have received a response from the secretariat of your organisation's Grants Committee, or that this response may not have been received due to a computer malfunction. Finally, I note the reply that your organisation sent to Mr by email on 14th October.
In this context, the answers provided by the lead me, in agreement with the other European Data Protection Authorities concerned by your processing operations, to close this complaint.
However, the CNIL reserves the right, in the event of further complaints, to make use of all the powers conferred on it by the provisions of the GDPR and Act no. 78-17 of 6th January 1978, as amended, relating to data processing, data files and individual liberties.
